Dress according to your body type!

With Valentine’s week around the corner, I am certain that most of you girls must be going frantic searching for the perfect outfits. After all, it’s a week full of date nights and parties.

Many aspects come into play while deciding the perfect look and outfit.

What’s trending in fashion?

Which designs, cuts and patterns are in?

What colors will look good on my skin tone?

Believe me, when I say, I can totally relate to your dilemma.

Even if I do know about “what’s hot and what’s not”; shopping for Valentine’s date night still doesn’t get any easier.

So, first let’s get an idea on how to choose the perfect dress for your body type. If you are naturally slim, trust me, you don’t need any help! But if you are a curvy girl who is going through her slightly over-weight phase, you need to keep a few things in mind.

Above being said, not all curvy girls have the same body type. Whatever your shape, by embracing your curves, you will be able to find clothes that flatter.

Try on lots of different sizes and shapes when you’re shopping. If you have belly fat, consider buying a dress that is tight just below the bust and the hip but mysteriously loose around the belly area. Don’t worry if you don’t get a perfect one, you can always get it tweaked from a local tailor.

If you don’t have time to go to the tailor, put a wide belt on to cover the extra fabric. A well-tailored blazer is also equally good in hiding a multitude of tailoring flaws.

When in doubt, pick a fit and flare dress. It’s the kind of dress that looks good on any body type.

However, knowing your fabrics is crucial for both curvy and slender girls— find out what’s flattering for your body type and which fabrics you absolutely hate against your skin. This will make shopping a lot easier in stores or online.

I can’t emphasize enough on this but ALWAYS wear clothes what make you feel good. It will reflect on your confidence and personality.
