Dear Meena, I miss you!! 2

Hey, friends did you reckon the name MEENA. I’m sure some of you might have recognised her and for all those who have not, she was one of the most famous cartoon characters of 90’s. The character MEENA is a young girl who resides in a village and her family includes her mother, father, brother, grandmother and a parrot.

The character MEENA was ia young girl who resided in a village and her family includes her mother, father, brother, grandmother and a parrot.

The cartoon was started as an initiative to bring forth the issues of health, gender, girl education, inequality and many other social issues. Though these problems still persist in our society but personally, I feel that depicting it via cartoon was the best way to reach out to maximum people and deliver the message with some fun element. Isn’t it?

I am saddened by the way our society is changing and cartoon characters lack the quality content which they used to have in earlier times. In contrast to today’s violent Ben Ten or Bheem (to name a few), MEENA CARTOON became a household name and was one of it’s kind, today I seriously feel that there is a need for such innovative ideas which can imbibe social message in our society and can also be a source of entertainment, especially for kids.

The cartoon was broadcasted in Hindi, English, Bengali, Urdu and Nepali. MEENA was created by Mustafa Monowar, the famous Bangladeshi Cartoonist. UNICEF supported the propagation of this cartoon. It was such an eye opening experience for all adults and fun for kids.

So without delaying much, here I have one of my favourite episode of Dividing the Mango. This episode highlights the difference between girl and boy and shows that both need to be treated equally.

Sit back and enjoy with your children

If this has made you smile, don’t forget to share it with others.

Dear fellow women….just be confident. 1

Another pick that I loved and wanted to share with all of you- A beautiful conversation!!! For all men, who think high of themselves and all women who always underestimate themselves, here is a catch!!

One night President Obama and his wife Michelle decided to do something out of routine and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn’t too luxurious.

When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the President’s secret service if he could please speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a conversation with the owner.

Following this conversation, President Obama asked Michelle, “Why was he so interested in talking to you?” She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her.

President Obama then said sarcastically, “So if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant?”

Michelle responded with a confident smile, “No if I had married him, he would now be the President Of  the United State of America.”

Believe it or not, sometimes….. I think every time, it’s a woman that makes a man who he is! 🙂

So for the single men who are still searching for a wife, may God help you to find that soul mate that will turn you from ” a nobody” into “a somebody”.  And for that single lady who is reading this, may you be that blessing no man can do without!

Ps : the story might not be true but I hope you got the message.
