Imperfecto, Hauz Khas 13

My idea of a good Saturday night?
Well….warm place, good vibes, good booze, some live music and friends. I had been wanting that for a very long time. It is very difficult to have such a night when you are living in a hostel because eventually warm place becomes the comfort of your bed, good vibes become the latest show that you binge watch and good booze becomes cheap daaru that you get from the theka outside your hostel.

However, my wish did come true when I visited Imperfecto at Hauz Khas. It was Saturday night so obviously the place was a bit crowded but we managed to find a spot for six.  It had everything I could ever ask for on a beautiful night.  Let’s start with the fact that it will not let you leave disappointed.

The interiors are eclectically designed and it offers an amazing variety of food and drinks with perplexing music.

Let me warn you about the money though. Since the place is so damn awesome, it is not cheap at all. So if you want to have a dreamy night with all its music and jazz, make sure you are carrying enough to pay for the same 😛

Take my advice and head to Imperfecto HKV this Saturday!!

Jago Aur Jagaao, Bharatvasi!! 1329

Last two weeks back we were all set to travel and excited to go to Singapore for our summer vacation. I even planned to come back and write all about my travel experience and the place. We boarded the flight and were eager to visit the place which is a famous spot for Indians to visit. We did go through travels and our schedule was planned for all the days we were staying in Singapore and Malaysia. We visited all the various entertainments and buildings that we could see and came back home to India after 8 days. Usually, I like to write immediately when I have an idea, or in this case when I am back from a trip. But, after I was back from Singapore, I could not write anything about the place.

No! Do not mistake me. Not that the place had nothing to write. Singapore is a lovely place which is worth visiting and definitely worth writing about. But I could not! The day I landed in Singapore, I began to observe and feel the difference like all other Indians. The very moment we realize is the scarcity of water. I felt ashamed of the way we take advantage of all the resources we have in India. India is no less.

I know some of you may disagree, but I beg to differ because for me India is a beautiful country. We too have those tall buildings, malls, water parks, amusement parks and IT parks. What’s more, is our interesting culture, talented people. Yet there is a world of difference between us and Singapore.

Despite the similarities, we lack so many things. The major difference is the negligence of order and discipline within us, disrespect to one another, carelessness, impatience and disrespect to law and rules.

It is easier to blame an authority and skip away from our misdoings but it takes a lot of courage to stand up to our mistakes and correct them. Every person I met was polite, friendly and respectful in Singapore. Be it the rules that make them be nicer to one another or it’s just the way they are! One should admire and develop such an attitude. Attitude is what matters.

The day I landed back in my home city and was waiting for a Taxi to take us home, we stood in the queue waiting. A man from nowhere just ignored all the people standing in the line and went front to catch a taxi. I observed him to be well established, educated man returning from the United States. I am sure this man followed every rule while he stayed in the US, but the moment he is back in India, he did not care for anyone or any rules. A big scuffle began and finally, he had to go back in the line. Yes, we do not have strict rules, law and many lawmakers are under the influence of crime. If education is one of our social problems, the educated make no effort in acting like one.

However, our country is in our own hands. India is one of the most free country than any other. We have better facilities which we are either blind to see or ignore while we misuse our resources to a great extent. The change should happen within ourselves. Show respect and be respected. Follow rules for your personal safety and well-being. Do not depend on someone else to come and make the changes, because if everyone thinks that, the change can never happen. The day may not be far when we are thrown with hefty fines for simple mistakes and it may be too late to make changes.

I request everyone to think and begin today. Do not neglect thinking what one person can change. Because if everyone starts any one single thing, it is a million effort. Kindly do not laugh and ignore.

Yes, I started some of the little changes I could do myself and I hope that some day, people come here and tell me “Wow! India and Indians are so awesome, and I would give anything to live here” Of course many already say it, but we are still a long way to go and make our country the best.

PS: We have many social problems such as the poverty, education, high population and so on. It is every citizen responsibility to help in eradicating these issues and not just blame the situation.
