Imperfecto, Hauz Khas 8

My idea of a good Saturday night?
Well….warm place, good vibes, good booze, some live music and friends. I had been wanting that for a very long time. It is very difficult to have such a night when you are living in a hostel because eventually warm place becomes the comfort of your bed, good vibes become the latest show that you binge watch and good booze becomes cheap daaru that you get from the theka outside your hostel.

However, my wish did come true when I visited Imperfecto at Hauz Khas. It was Saturday night so obviously the place was a bit crowded but we managed to find a spot for six.  It had everything I could ever ask for on a beautiful night.  Let’s start with the fact that it will not let you leave disappointed.

The interiors are eclectically designed and it offers an amazing variety of food and drinks with perplexing music.

Let me warn you about the money though. Since the place is so damn awesome, it is not cheap at all. So if you want to have a dreamy night with all its music and jazz, make sure you are carrying enough to pay for the same 😛

Take my advice and head to Imperfecto HKV this Saturday!!

A Dose of Good Health and Nutrition 113

While the month of March began with a blazing heat, I felt very bored to cook and wanted some change in the routine. We decided to head out for lunch. However, I did not want to go to those regular restaurants that are heavy with spices, oil, and all the things that are rich in gluten, sugar and what not. We may enjoy the taste, but in the end of the day, it feels so heavy that we may even end up with digestion problem.

Hence, we decided to go to a restaurant that we recently noticed. This is a restaurant that boasts of fresh and nutritious food. You will note there are no much varieties of dishes here. “Vaathsalya Millet Cafe” is a place for those who are really looking for healthy, homely and nutritious food.

Sitting in their outside seating, we ordered Elaichi Malt drink and tomato soup. For the main course, we ordered Thali meals and waited. As the place is new for us, we waited anxiously to taste. Seeing fewer varieties in the menu, we were slightly put down. So waited for the food. When the drink was served, you could actually see smiles on our faces after the first sip. It was so tasty and we decided to order few more glasses. Later, the meals were served. The menu of the thali meals was, millet roti, millet (proso) kheer, sprouts curry, vegetable curry, millets (Navara) pulav, salad, buttermilk, papad. Everything was so delicious that I asked for a second serving. The serving is slow, so enjoy the malt and other health drink while your healthy food gets cooked and served freshly.

What is more? You can also buy the healthy food products from their retail millet shop such as the finger millet pop, Aralu, finger millet malt in different flavors, millets. The pleasant ambiance with bamboo chairs and tables outside, indoor seating which does not allow it to be too crowded, healthy food altogether makes it a must visit. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit soon.
