Simple Hacks to Make a Small Kitchen Spacious!! 673

Having a big and spacious kitchen is a dream come true for many women. When you build a house, it is possible to get a custom built kitchen depending on your likings, but when you shift to a building which is already built, you have to make do with space and style that is available on the ideas of someone else.

Yet, it still depends on how carefully and smartly you use the space. The more space there is in the kitchen, it will make it easier for you to feel good to work in there. After all, it is you who need to prepare the dishes as well as manage your time taking things in and out of the shelves. So here are some of the ideas that may be helpful in arranging the items and shelves giving you some extra breathing space.

Secret space to arrange spices and other bottles

The tiny space between the wall and your refrigerator can be used for a side shelf. You can do it yourself or buy it as well. Take a wooden plank as tall as the fridge with the breadth that should move in the tiny space and make shelves by fixing horizontally to the plank. Fix bars from one end to the other so the bottles and cans that you keep should have a support. Fix wheels in the bottom of the plank to make it easy for you to pull it out when in need and push it back. This helps in making space in those cabinets. Here is an image for you to get an idea.

Use the sides of the top cabinets

When the top cabinets end at a window in the kitchen or right below the sink, fix a hanging nail to the sides of the cabinet and put a stand to keep the dish soaps and solutions and hang the wet towels etc.

Wall shelves

Keeping all the items on the platform will consume more space making it difficult for you to work. Hence fix a bar like the one we fix for hanging window drapes and hang baskets to it. Place all the items like onions, potatoes, oil cans etc that you would want to use most of the time right next to your stove and keep the platform free.

Cabinet doors as storage

Fix hanging nails to your cabinet doors and put those tiny pans, filters, scrapers and other things vertically which fits into the space of the inside shelves while you close it.

Space under the sink

Usually, the space under the kitchen sink is left blank as there are pipes that come in the way to store anything. However, you can fix shelves to the sides and store dish washing items. Fix dust bin stand to the door and utilize the space.

Use corner space

People usually ignore to store items in corners as it gets difficult to take things out and keep it back. In corners use the pulling out with “S” or “U’ shaped shelves which turn out when opened.

Similarly, use every corner and forgotten space. How much ever tiny space, it can always be used in some way to store items. Work out your innovative and creative minds and come up with ideas as for how you can store items and make your kitchen free of space to work.
