THE PREGNANT DEER – such a beautiful story! 176

While scrolling my WhatsApp messages today, I read a beautiful story which I would like to share with my readers. Read along and I am sure that by the end, the message will amaze you. Happy reading folks!! Here it goes…….

THE PREGNANT DEER – such a beautiful story!

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth. She finds a remote grass field near a strong flowing river. This seems a safe place. Suddenly labour pains begin. At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire. She looks to her left & sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her. To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.
What can the pregnant deer do?

She is in labour! What will happen?

Will the deer survive? Will she give birth to a fawn?

Will the fawn survive? Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?

Will she perish to the hunters’ arrow?

Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?

She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other & boxed in by her natural predators.

You must be wondering…. What does she do?

She closes her eyes and focuses on giving birth to a new life.

The sequence of events that follows are:

Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.

He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.

It starts to rain heavily, & the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.

The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.

In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on αll sides with negative thoughts and possibilities. Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us & overwhelm us. Maybe we can learn from the deer. The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby. The rest was not in her hands & any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.

Ask yourself, Where is your focus? Where is your faith and hope?

In the midst of any storm, do keep faith on CREATOR always. He will never ever disappoint you. NEVER. Remember, He neither slumber nor sleep !! Strong people knows how to keep their life in order. Even with tears in their eyes, they still manage to say ‘I’m Ok’ with a smile.

Be honest and share this with anyone who makes you smile.

Be blessed!!

He said,”There is no such thing as periods pain & it is all just a myth.” 596

The Internet and social media are full of opinionated people and many think it’s their right to speak whatever nonsense they think and can express it on an open platform where thousands of viewers and readers visit. I like reading articles on news, current happenings and pretty much anything that may interest me. But what I also like is to read the comments. Here is one place where you can come across different mentality and some times it can even strike you hard at the reality of how twisted people minds are.

On one such article which was about how to help the periods pain and what women can do to reduce it, I thought of checking it out. As I normally feel these cramps every month and found very hard initially but after medication the pains reduced. So after reading the article, as always I casually checked the comments section.

There was this one comment from a guy that threw me off. He said, “Guys, do not believe all this shit, there is no such thing as periods pain and it is all just a myth”. I understand that such people comments are to be ignored but what made him say so?

Are men really that ignorant about what a woman goes through or is it simply they do not care? It’s just beyond my understanding. The first thought that came to my mind is probably this guy has never grown with a woman around him like his mother, sister, close friends.

It’s not just this random guy who threw such an absurd opinion on periods pain, but there are a lot of men as well as women who believe it to be. In the beginning of my marriage, I use to have a lot of pains and I am married into a family where my mother-in-law and sister-in-law are fortunate enough of never having much pain. When I started to have terrible menstrual cramps, my husband was sympathetic and tried to help me as much as possible by sharing my work. Before I could blink, I was tagged as a dramatist and lazy who exaggerates the menstrual pain to make my husband work.

Since then, I tried many times explaining to my in-laws that it is a different case with me and I am not as fortunate as them. Though they stopped their verbal abuse, I am not sure if they really understood.

Women think that menstrual cramps/periods pain is a common thing and they should not talk about it. Trust me. Ladies! Explain and educate your children and people around you about how it makes you suffer.

Yes! There are various ways that can help reduce the pain like medications, exercise, etc it still is harder for many. Some women body do not respond to medications. Some experience the periods pain to such as extent that they even feel like vomiting and the pain is much like having a heart attack sometimes.

Let’s not forget here other than the physical pain it causes, there are few pains that are caused mentally. Like feelings of anxiety, depression, irritability etc.

People, please note menstrual (periods) pain is as real as it can be and there are plenty of women who go through hell every month. I agree you cannot do anything about it. What you can do instead is at least be sympathetic and compassionate without accusing her of lying and by giving her a hand if needed.

Many times we confuse thirst with hunger. Do your body a favor by drinking 6-8 glasses of water throughout the day. And every time you feel hungry have a glass of water before having your snack.

  1. Be Mindful

Whenever you go out make sure to carry your snack bag with you. This will keep you away from those nasty food items which contain sugar and processed food. This way you can have your healthy snack even when you are having coffee with your friend.
